Just BMW side window screens & the power rear sunshade for heat. With the scratching, cops etc tint is a PITA. Prefer a sleeper over a kid car look. The white BMS decals have been changed to black.

My e90 was tinted with 25% and my e92 is tinted with 20%. I hate driving/ riding in non tinted cars because of the sun. Seattle is only sunny 1/4 of the year but still, it adds privacy and I'll never own a car that's not tinted. If you're worried about the cops and just want to keep the sun out, 35% would do just fine, it just wont allow any privacy.

Do it!
I did 20% on the rears, 35% up front to avoid the hassle of police. TBH, i think 20% on the front is fine if you have a light interior. Tint is one of those mods that changes the look of your car completely. Like new wheels, or a drop. |

i went with 3M crystalline @ 40% all the way around with 70% on the whole windshield. Dark enough to give a good look / block out the sun, but light enough that i'll never have trouble with the police

Tint is good. It was something I never look into doing or at a much lower on the list. Keeps temp cooler and glare and also privacy too. Yes, makes the car looks sharper and cooler also. Some states have stricter tint laws and the state I'm in is one of them but you should be ok doing 35% all around. Got the car used the other months and came tinted already but I'm sure is like 25%

I've heard the biggest issue is the dot matrix on the coupes... I read horror stories of people having to get their rear windows re-tinted several times because of bubbling

Be careful or you may for the police at the end of the month to ask the question " to pull over or not to pull over?"

I went with 5% (Limo Grade Tint) for my back three windows and then 15% for my front two. Wish I hadn't because it's too dark and I always worry about getting a ticket. Here are some pictures for reference as to how dark you are looking to go.
Side note: You can only see into the back of the car on a sunny day |
