Polishing Pad OVERLOAD! Please Help!

I've been using Sonus SFX polishes and pads for a while now with amazing results, but the pads are becoming harder to find and are more expensive then their generic counterparts. I haven't purchased pads in a while, so you can imagine my reaction when I get to AutoGeek's polishing pad page (http://autogeek.net/dual-action-foam-pads.html), I nearly had a seizure! I'm used to traditional 6.5in flat pads, but now I see all these new and improved pads that are dimpled, cross-cut, curved, waved, beveled, etc. Can someone please help me find the right pad? The polishes I use are described below...

Sonus SFX-1
Sonus SFX-1 is a cutting polish designed to remove heavy oxidation caused by exposure to the elements (sun and weather) and finish marring created by chemical fallout, hard water etching, contact scuffing, surface scratches or the ravages of poor detailing tools.

Sonus SFX-2
Sonus SFX-2 Enhance is a buffered swirl-mark reducer and gloss-enhancing polish. Use Sonus SFX-2 to restore full gloss after compounding or to remove fine scratches, swirl-marks or light oxidation.

Sonus SFX-3
Sonus SFX-3 Final Finish Polish is an ultra-fine show car polish and finishing glaze designed to produce exceptional depth and gloss on new and like-new paint finishes.

Thank you in advance for your help!

If you're using an orbital, I suggest switching to the new Meguiars DA Microfiber pads. They're a bit more expensive, but you'll get better results with less effort. There are tons of positive reviews on the detailing forums.

I can't seem to find any 'microfiber' pads, are you referring to their 'Soft Buff' pads (Burgundy, Yellow, Beige)?

Nope new product from Megs, it's a two pad MF solution with dedicated polishes to be used accordingly. Here's a link to the approprate vendor site sponsored site

You'll be able to find lots of other reviews on other detailing sites as well. Never used them as I'm not a pro just a hobbyist. I've seen the pads you have mentioned on other sites and yes they are a bit more than your generic LC foam pads.

On the site you showed, they are called Microfiber Cutting/Finishing Discs.

It's interesting that the system only offers a single compound, which goes against everything I've learned (applying compounds in decreasing abrasiveness until you reach your desired gloss). I'll have to do some more research.
