For those with tunes and have thrown tuner codes....
I was just thinking when the car throws a tuner code on lets say a JB+, do you get a any warning messages on the dash or go into limp mode requiring you to turn off the car and restart it? or is the code simply stored away and you won't even see it until you run the BT software?
I already have the BT tool so clearing the code isn't an issue but I just wanted to know if i'm going to have to pull over all of a sudden for the car to drive normal again. Alan

I have gotten the 2D18 code (Excess Air Flow) 3 times.. One with SSTT (YES! but it was at very high altitude) and twice with the Procede..
Every time, the half engine light reduced engine power light has come on, but the car still drove normal, there wasn't a reduction of power.. So it was a soft limp mode... And the light goes away anyway after you pull over and turn the car off and back on. Experiences may vary though based of the code being triggered and the conditions |
