09 335i LCI F30 Shifter Mod

Thinking about doing this mod and using the Manual Boot to get rid of the stock P-R-N-D on the original.

What year should I be looking for for the manual boot and are all the F30 shifters basically the same?

Any year e9X boot will fit(not dct)
It sure about the shifter years, but aftermarket ones ready to plug n play are sold.
