Projector housing retrofit
I recently came up on some adaptive xenon headlights for a e92. However I have an e90 and I know that the headlights won’t fit. Can i disassemble them and retrofit my halogen housings with the internals from the e92 headlights or are the mounting points for the lens different as well?
I was given these headlights so I thought I’d try to get some use of them before I try to sell them before anybody says it’s not worth the money |

E92 adaptive xenon internals will not fit directly into a halogen E90 headlight. Is it possible to make it fit? Probably, anything is possible. Is it worth it? No.
I swapped my E90 factory xenon projectors to Morimoto M-LED 2.0 - now that was worth the time and money. Last edited by estonian; 12-11-2020 at 09:56 AM.. |

LED Retrofit
I am going to second the request for additional information on the LED retrofit. I am also looking at the Aharon LED projectors from Retrofitlab.

I want the projector housing, but I know the Xenon wiring for halogen vehicles has some hiccups. |

Yes. I did it for a while with these. They were brighter than a nine year old stock Osram bulb but less bright than a new Osram CBN (or at least after a few months of use; they got significantly dimmer after a few months). When I swapped out the OEM projectors later I noticed they seemed to have burned some of the projector housing brown. I wouldn’t recommend it.
