You wind out 3rd gear in the 1/8th, thats three full gears of acceleration, so any power band issue would effect you there. The estimate of ~1.55 * 1/8th mile ET seems to be pretty solid looking at dragtimes examples.

I just put it into excel and the range is 1.498 - 1.562

7.683 * 1.498 = 11.509 (dont flame, its just a calculation)

7.683 * 1.562 = 12.000

Look at the times I get with my 19" Generals. Which Generally (no pun intended), launch worse than my stock runflats. Runflats aren't THAT bad at all. Either tire will get me a 2.0x 60' time. And if there were a decent track around here, I'm confident I could run a 12.6x qtr mile on my street radials.

I'm sure most of you saw my new dyno results from today. I hate to waste race gas commuting, so I headed down to Irwindale Raceway to see what I could do. Down there I got to meet radgator1 and laca335i, both cool guys. Gator has some major traction problems after driving through the water box and NOT doing a burnout on the run I saw, but MPH looked good. I think it was his first time at the strip.

Anyway I was very pleased with the results considering the lack of mods. The car is dead quiet (like stock), all you hear is the turbos spool up as you take off down the track. Traction on the worn 245s was great with the extra weight in the back, and those downpipes really boost the low end torque making the launch quite an experience.

Best of 3 runs was 7.683@91.65 mph, 1.698 69' time. At a decent 1/4 mile track it would be damn close to 11.9.

My mods are: JB2HR, UR downpipes, K1 rims w/ 245 drag radials, drop in filter, 97 octane.

I have the trunk divider and front cowl removed, which roughly weigh the same as the baby seat I recently installed. Gas was at 1/3 tank. Also had 10# of tools in tow. In this trim I'd say the car is 80# lighter than a fully loaded stock E90. I'm around 200#, so a car with an average 175# driver with exhaust and rims would weigh around the same.

As an aside based on how well my car ran tonight, I think VIP's time is probably legit (aside from the 93 octane bit). Actually I wonder if all those extra mods (transmission, intercooler, intake, etc) even helped them much...

yupe i was there. i dont play basis to anyone.. damn i wish my run was like that.. damn it. Terry i had a bad run today.. damn it i just had my 91 octane .. damn it booster bottle does not seem to work.. errrr. i should pump 100 octane or vp109 instead. Maybe next time, i will have my Semi Slick tire. and vp109.. Next week i will try to go up there. again. Damn this thing is very addicted... hey terry you should also post your 1st run. it was pretty damn good.. Hey man you should teach me how to run it.. i need to get back in the racing mood again..

Hey Terry, It was fun meeting up with you tonight. Those were some crazy fast times you were putting down

For anyone interested, my car is a 6AT with JB2R (no H, though I think I am going to have to pick one up one of these days). I was running with 95 Octane. I have 18 inch I-Forged with Toyo tires.

Between the armor-all (just got my car washed and dude was spraying it all over my tires), water and near 40 PSI in my rears, I was finding no traction at all. My best ET was 8.755 with a 2.2 60' I trapped over 86 MPH on all 3 runs though with my best being an 86.7. Now that I got home and looked at dragtimes I realized thats pretty darn fast. In fact it looks like only shiv, Terry, and VIP have significantly faster 1/8 mile traps, so the car is making good power. I just have to figure out how to put it on the road.

By the time we met up with LACA335i the line was way long and cars were spilling fluids on the track so Terry and I had to bail. It was cool meeting you LACA. Sorry to hear your runs didn't go to well.

damn it i hate my tire. i need to run slick.. and i need to get there earlier time than freakin almost 6. damn it those booster does not work.. i wasted 10 for it. lol next time i m going with vp109.. im going to drive up in ontario to get it. i hate my wheel . i really hate my rft. lol i m look forward getting 19 inches MRR wheel or RPM Wheel. or ASA wheel.. i will have 2 semi slick to my rears tires. DUde im thinking upgrade my intercooler and Upgrade my damn turbo. to Gt2860RS or Gt30r bi turbo.. Funny thing.. after i have spoken with Terry, i walked way way back of the line. I saw a white car behind me. it was a BMW 335i.. .. im like that was easy to spot radgator1.. Too bad you did not get a chance to listen to my exhaust.. Talking about exhaust i need my exhaust fix ..

damn you trapped faster than the vip 335 but .2 mph slower ET

i think if you dont fall asleep and get a better reaction time (), you would be able to beat the VIP 1/8 mile time...
good luck! i wanna see you break the 1/4 time!!

Terry... I must say i have been more and more impressed with you as time moves on. You really have come a long way since I first read your posts back in the end of 06 beginning 07. I take my hat off to you. A lot of these people are lemmings and don't understand the true capability of what they are driving around. You obviously do. Congrats on some nice runs and good luck in the future.
