ATP Turbo's BOV Adapter, BMW 335i.
Hey guys,
I have worked with ATP in the passed and they make great turbo kits/parts for all cars. I actually used their Turbo Kit for my Audi A4 and it made some of the best power that B6 audi A4's ever saw, as well as broke the world record for 1/4 mile B6 A4. They Developed a BOV adapter to go directly on stock piping.. Some people like BOVs and some dont... personaly im not going to run one on my car at this time. but i figured it will save most of you money and a lot of you like them. Easy stuff, take your DV's off, putt he adapter of your choice on for the BOV you want to run, and just mount your BOV on the adapter. They have adpaters for Greddy BOVs, HKS BOVs, and Tial 50MM BOVs. And the best part its only 40 bucks for the adapters!!!! So you can get any BOV you want and put on your 335 for less than 150 bucks...depending on what BOV you run and if you shop around! Ebay has a million BOV's aha. HKS ADAPTER TIAL ADAPTER Greddy Adapter Here is the link to their page to purchase it.. http://www.atpturbo.com/Merchant2/me...ry_Code=BMW335 |

"Blow off valve mounting adapter. Mounts (1) HKS SSQ BOV in original location on BMW 335i pre-throttle body chargepipe (boost pressure pipe). Custom machined to have OEM fit onto stock chargepipe. Replaces the stock plastic black bypass valve. Atmospheric vent for blow off valve sound and holds boost more reliably than stock valve (stock chargepipe has (2) of these so we recommend replacing both valves, so order 2 units. Also since you are using this flange kit to vent the BOV to atmosphere, remember to order (2) of the plug kits to close up the return ports on the turbo inlet pipes."

hahaha, yess, just dont forget to order the right unit if U look around ebay.
release pressure is one of the magic words... otherwise your Pfffffssssstttt's and PHUuuffffffssss's will decrease your perf and make some nasty kickbacks to your turbos.... |

Nice find, but unless i'm not understanding this correctly you would need to run two BOVs? That doesn't make too much sense to me. Considering that a tial bov costs over 200 bucks I don't think that you would end up saving too much money and the sound would be much quieter (probably not something that you want if you are dropping the money for a BOV). This is interesting though.

i dont know either lol, but im pretty sure its divorced piping up to and past the diverter valves, so if you were to hook this adapter to one diverter valve and just plug the other... boost from the other turbo would have to travel around and back, just seems sketchy

not they are both hooked up to that same piping.
it is the same concept of AA or UR BOV set up... except you do not have to use an afer market piping, you can just plug one. i hve to find all the detials though. |

Thanks for the info though! |

Since your familiar with Evo's, this reminds me of people putting their HKS SSQV with the stock turbo. It's a mod for 17 year olds that want to show off. On another note, anything ATP makes is absolute garbage.. |

so this will allow both turbos to vent? it looks as if they share that point of the pipe where the diverter valve is at.
But in the pic u have posted it looks like there r two (2) BoV there? right |

bleh, i went and took a loog at the diagrams and it is indeed one piping with the diverters just at different locations, i wonder why they didnt just use one and separate the flow into the two sets of intake piping for the turbo
