E91 rear seat problem..
Hi guys,
Just had the most annoying problem come to light. Folded my rear seats down to hoover them and went to put them back up and the seat belt as bloody locked in place. So I now can't lift the seat back up or release the seat belt. What do I do? I can't believe it's something that happened so stupidly, bmw are really going down in my estimations. Thanks |

Sometimes have the same issue in mine with the central seat belt.
It's a real pain but what I do is remove the lower seat section and then get the correct torx bit, t50 i believe, and remove the screw for the central belt connector. Then you can push back the seat and fix the screw again. i know the belt can get extremely tight but it is still possible once lower seat section is removed even with an couple of inches, a pain, but possible. |

Yep, it's a poor design, but bad luck if it locks while you have the seat down.
Try sitting on top of the seat back to push it right down, see if you can get enough slack to let off the inertia reel lock. If not it's a spanners job I think. |
