how does the ipod adapter work

Do any of you have the NON-Idrive ipod adapter?

How does it work? are you able to see track names on the radio display, and skip tracks with the controls on the radio and steering wheel? does it charge the ipod? can you select or skip playlists?

i'm seriously considering this, and i need to know how it works in order to decide if its worth it spending $300+ on it.

yes, you can see tracks displayed on the radio screen, including the artist's name if you choose...
yes, you can skip and scroll through tracks via radio controls on dash or steering wheel, as well as controlling volume. Songs can be categorized by playlists, artist, album, genre, podcasts, or all of the songs on your ipod.
yes, the ipod is charged by the adapter.

I would definitely recommend it!

nope, it uses the ipod connector that only works with ipod.
