Whatever its called is irrelevant really - I just think that having it that far down south again is a little unfair for the further afar (i.e - the Northerners etc)
All of the other "national" meets have been held in the Midlands. There are already 10 up for the meet in Bradford - thats as many as some of the other National meets I've been to.

Well Porka, if its a two day event as intended we convoy to Santa in the morning, in the same way as driving from Cambs last time? Just need to cut down on the bevoirs to get some early runs in...
tbh i dont mind either way. Cambs was nice and easier for Carl to organise as he knew the area and roads. Anyway its fine for you...its the Midlands isnt it?! |

Wel it was just an idea. But sod it LOL... Lets stick to UK meets march/april and Aug/sep so everyone can make it.
Best i think if the Northern meet is Northen meet 2 and Ill organise a seperate Santa Pod meet.

I agree Carl.
Although a genuine Midlands area is the obvious central choice it's still a heck of a jaunt for us Jocks. In comparison with up here, the trip south of Manchester to Birmingham is like Damnation Alley by our standards. (If anyone has read the book rather than seen the film.) |

I vote for a late May meet.
Midlands, is good for me... peak district is cool, or anywhere around there. To be honest with at least 5 cars convoying becomes so safe and fun you can really motor, and it becomes fun to get there. If we organise a good pub to be ready for us with bangers n mash or something for lunch... Salad (!?) for the girls, plus me Nice B&B for the evening with a good local gastro pub n I'm a happy chappie... could we not even get permission to BBQ ? i.e. someone local with a decent size Braai could ship it to wherever we meet... I know a great butcher and could source the meat etc etc etc.... ? SJ |

Floyd - are you on something tonight or what?
For once I asked an innocent question to Carlos as well and it gets turned around by the most unlikely culprit!! Quiet ones are the worst. |

Also know some absolutely fantastic roads, perhaps off the beaten track a little and require some care and concentration (esp. if you have a very low car like me!) and some proper sprint roads!
