BMW Mississauga service let down!
Well it's the 3rd time I've brought my car in to get what I thought would be a simple fix, my rear plate lights stopped working.
I made an appointment with the dealer 2wks ago and informed them that I would need a car for work, I made the appointment time to drop it off in the morning and take the loaner car, and I gave myself enough time for a slight delay at the dealer for paperwork..etc. What I wasn't expecting was that they didn't have a car ready for me and they had to call Enterprise to bring a car over and I ended up leaving 30mins later. I was late for work and now I'm keeping my fingers crossed that I won't get a 3rd phone call saying they have to order something else from Germany. The car is barely 2yrs old and I've wasted 3 trips to this place already. I'm so ticked off right now....oh and the loaner was a piece of crap Kia! |

they wouldn't even help me fix something simple and wanted to charge me 300 dollars in labor. i hate to say it but US dealers are hella better than the Cdn ones.... my wheels are still squeaking (with and without brakes applied). I hear it in my garage and yet they won't give me anything and wants me to pay 30 bucks a day for a rental (meanwhile they wont give me a guarantee that they get it fixed within a day or two). My advisor was Ian. I just called them to see what's going on with my car since no one has called me back yet.Ian is gone for the day I was informed they just ordered another module since they can't get still can't them working. I luv the msg that's on the machine while I'm waiting, you get a loaner from our " exclusive line of BMW vehicles". I guess that doesn't include me! I guess it's time to take my KIA home with me tonight!

Same thing happened to me for an HPFP issue at BMW Miss... they said it was a day's diagnoses and software update... turns out my computer module went as well as the HPFP. I got Suzuki SX4 on the first day from Enterprise, found out it would be at least week for the parts to arrive ... I was then able to get a 323i the next day for the balance of the 4 weeks my car was in the shop when some happened to come back in. If others are having issues that run for 4 weeks, I can see why they don't have cars. Hit and miss.

I am still waiting to hear from someone for 2 weeks @ BMW mississauga regarding a bent wheel that they say they will not cover cuz the damn tire is holding air!
Can you believe it I bought the car brand new with the tire wheel warranty and it clearly says that we will repair or replace and now they say the only thing the warranty is supposed to cover is a cracked in half rim......can they try to repair that? cuz surely they were out of their mind when they had this warranty written cuz what else can happen to an alloy that they will TRY TO REPAIR?Ironically enough I have the BMW warranty they were selling back then. I have no option but to drive with the bad wheel or buy the new one 800++

It has been my experience as well, at another dealership, that the warranty only applies to the wheel if it's damaged in such a way that the tire is losing pressure.

Does BMW of Mississauga offer free dealership license plate covers like the ones that say 'BMW of Mississauga'? I get my car serviced there but didn't buy it there.... If so, do i simply call in to pickup 1 front and 1 rear cover?

Relative to what else is out there, I quite like it. A nice full thin protective layer. Without a cover, the plate looks bad, and after a few thousand bug-filled km's and some rock chips, it will forever look horrible. What is your preferred alternative? |
