Engine Cover Show Off

So, I saw this sick ass chrome engine cover this week on someones forum here(I think he might of deleted the post).
Anyways, I wanna paint mine too. Anyone who has done this. Please tell us how you painted your engine cover and post pics. PLZ

6/9 Update:
Went with a thermal wrap. Thermal tapes reflects heat up to 850F and reflects 80% of heat.
Took about 5 hours to wrap my engine cover(It will be bubble out so it will look way better).
Will have more pictures tomorrow when it will be mounted back on engine and will most likely thermal wrap the intake as well.

I had mine painted Sparkling Graphite to match my car. Subtle...but definitely cleans up the bay a bit.

Haha this makes konnie look pale! silver a bit boring at times so only way to liven it up was under the hood.
Still subtle where needed.

You guys just get the covered painted at a body shop? Ive been to a couple and they said they don't have the proper paint to paint it.... Im assuming it has to do with how hot the engine gets. I have a AW e90 and want it painted so bad!
