BMW CCA HPDE at Circuit of the Americas (vid)
I made it down to Austin for the 2nd BMW CCA Texas Trifecta at CoTA. The three Texas chapters combined and made this into another stellar event. It's truly a world class facility, and the track is absolutely flawless.
We had the option of running the track Fri-Sun, but I just drove the track Friday and did the autocross on Saturday. '07 E92 on stock suspension/wheels. Mods: COBB stage 1 sport OTS map VRSF 7" fmic STETT Performance stage 2 oil cooler M3 front control arms Cool Carbon pads StopTech sport slotted rotors Motul 600 fluid Hankook R-S3 tires (225/40/18, 255/35/18) Here's a video of my quickest lap from Friday, 02:48: I'm using an AiM SOLO to log MPH, timing, and G forces. I used the COBB to log RPM, ECT, TPS, gear, oil temp, charge air temp, and engine load req/act via OBD II. GoPro was used for the video, and DashWare was used to do the gauge overlay.
