Too soon?
My lease is up in September, is it too soon to think about what to do? I don't think so... I can keep the car, no complaints after 2.5 years, and I don't like the feel of the new 3 - my dad has the 328i, non-sport. I've never kept a car at lease end, and I have a bit of car ADD. I was thinking LCI 535i, S4 to try something new, or maybe go back to Porsche (maybe a 2011 997). What am I missing?

I can't see myself in a Vette, although I like the idea...
RS5 may be a great option. I test drove an RS4 before I bought the Cayman and thought it was really front heavy - does anyone know if the new ones are more balanced?

Out of those 3 I'd definitely take the 997. But if you need 4 doors and space I'd go for the 535lci but please do not put the m5 bumper and be a poser. If you drive often in snow (i.e. trips to tahoe) the S4 would be ideal.
quattro system makes the weight distribution front heavy. the new 2013's say its more evenly distributed but I cannot find an exact number. They are heavy and have predictable understeer. From what I've observed people who really like their audi s4's are skiiers and snowboarders. Last edited by efdiesel3s; 02-05-2013 at 07:13 PM.. |

just got a vette (you might find me on this thread somewhere lol) and it is worlds night and day in terms of athletic prowess. if 335i is a senior running back in highschool who is pretty good, C6 vette is like barry sanders. hugh gap in performance. cheap to maintain. but if you are into luxury then it is not for you....

I definitely think the new Vettes are impressive, just not for me.
The main reason I got rid of the Cayman was because of the size - not enough cargo space. Thinking the Carrera is a bit better there, but the roads in SF are horrible, so ride may be an issue. Thanks for all your suggestions... E60 M5?
