Jb4 G5 Iso dyno and Nos integration

Well guys, here is the story.

first let set the base for my story, the last time at the dyno i was able to achieve 447whp and 503tq numbers of a dyno jet with the following mods

g5
DPs
FMIC
Meth 100%
DCI
93 oct gas plus octane booster
cp with hks
terry and a great tuner (kenneth) that created a custom map

nice i thought................. but the bug was still there

soo.................... what about nos...........

well i started to search and talked to kennth and terry, and decided to go for it

i went nuts on my local NOS shop, and got myself a NEW NOS dry kit with a couple of bottles, and installed.

after a **** load of trouble ( none tune related just install issues)

we uploaded the new ISo firmware and made the G5 changes to make it run ISO.

so tuning the new iso G5 is Fun, to bad the Dyno conditions were very bad (very HI humidity and temps close to 100), we manage to make 441 WHP and 487 Tq. Trust me if the temp was a bit better and less humidity we could have easily beat the last dyno sheets.

well for the good part,

we open the Nos bottle, and made a run and BOOM! not the engine, just a blown tire, ok installed a wheel and tire and keep the tuning....

we managed to make 492 WHP and 491 Tq, Say it is not Perfect????

the dyno lines and sexy and linear, the car feels insane and the tranny hold "OK", not perfect, but "OK"

then for the technical stuff , No i did not gave a massive shot just a 0.32 jet, that is not even considered a real NOS shot in the Nos World LOL, but for me its perfect.

i wanted to keep the WHP and TQ both close to 500, and to be honest I could not be happier.

We still can make more WHP, but we decided to keep it extremely safe and fun to drive.

we will head the dyno again soon with a Full bottle of nos and on a less hot day!!!!

Very Happy with the results and car handle all beautiful.

then i decided to try the car on the street.

that was the fun part.

the car rips the $HIT of the tires and feels insane!!!!

the car pulls like a train and to be honest is very fast.

Its not a dyno queen but its fast.

Thanks to Kenneth for all the hard work and constant results

another baby monster in the PR streets,.

Here you go guys the dyno sheet

500/500 must be fun man, too bad those temps were so high. What size bottle are you running?

Welcome to the wonderful life of nitrous. Use it wisely and respect it. .32 is rather a large shot for our platform but your right its not that big in the nitrous world. I would not go Any larger than .32. Look at the a/f really closely as that's very important that you run at least rich. From your dyno it looks to run very lean in the beginning. Be careful.

The BMS flash will give you nice and healthy AFR across the board. You might want to check it out since you're running NOS.

We made a few fixes in the fuel area, we raised the fuel a bit more after the dyno. The air fuel ratio was better then.

.032 I could hardly feel, .036 was the sweet spot on my car that never had issues. I did run .046 with dual meth nozzles but wouldn't recommend it without the fueling fixed via flash. The 60-130 I did do a few times without it going lean, and managed a low 9.x and high 8.x on screen (no SD card in), coming from a high 10.x FBO+Meth but without nitrous.

Based on mine and hotrods experiences with it, I think a .042 to .045 is possible with enough fuel but the torque is over 550 so be prepared for trans problems if you're 6 AT.

I have a set off NOS bits, just happy with the result for the moment. The transmission slip on the last run. It was not a big slip but it was there, like a big F you on the dyno screen.

I am going to upgrade to vargas or RB's soon. So then i will have no possible way to manage that with the NOS settup without a upgraded transmission.

Lets see, only time will tell.

What flash are you guys running with the g5??

That migth me the next upgrade with the Lsd.

Since you already have the G5 ISO, get the flash from BMS. Terry uses an accessport to load his own maps for the power levels you're already making and the power levels you will make after your turbo upgrade or with a larger jet

Really? On my friends 135i that we setup nitrous on we had an immediate difference starting from much smaller sized jets then a .032. Did you mean you couldn't feel it in terms of the huge kick you were expecting or did you see no results in terms of your 60-130?
We did some record breaking times on the 135i, but as you mentioned NO SD!! and when we tried to replicate the tranny started to give out

I'm still waiting for someone else to strip down a 135i, throw on some nitrous and break into the 10's. You only have a couple shots at it until the 6AT goes though LOL. I was hoping you would break through with the xi launch a while back

Have you guys considered getting the valve body modified? This would help with the slippage..

Nitrous is fun but it must be respected! I miss those days.

I would definitely try to clean up that AFR in the beginning. You may need a flash, I'm not sure.
