Someone please help me clear this up

I'm looking for some new rims and I came these wheels. Now this guy claims that these rims came off a '98 5-series, but to be exact he states that these are off a 1998 M5. They don't even seem like genuine BMW wheels to me. But hey, what do I know

They are on his 3-series now

They do too! They're not M wheels, but from what I understand AC Schnitzer makes some decent rims

Yes AC Schnitzer makes high quality wheels and expensive (around 1000$/wheel).But those might be replica. I havent seen type3 wheels with black finish. Also real Type3 is 2-piece wheel. One thing is sure those are not genuine bmw wheels.

Buy them dirt cheap (it may be a replica and the owner seems like he doesn't know anything) and try to see if they're split wheels and if so, sir you got some sexy ass wheels.

FYI E39 has a larger center bore than BMW standard, so you will need hub centric rings.

He said he had them painted black. Also how would I check to see of they're the real deal or replicas?

How much is he asking for the wheels?
Ask him are those 2 piece wheel?or does it have fake bolts? Look for seam between wheel barrel and face of the wheel.

There would probably be AC scnitcher printed back of the spokes and Made in germany. Canīt say for sure.

I'm looking to trade my current 20's because they are rubbing on the front, Every little pothole seems to chew up my tires a little more. Plus 20's is a whoe lot of wheel. There would never be a chance of getting my e90 lowered. anyways here are some pics of my current rims that i need to get rid of,
