Exclusive Alloy E92 on EX-M1 Gold & General Tires
My co-worker decided to change up his car a little for 2008. The car is lowered on H&R race springs. The tires are General Exclaim's, and the tire sizes are 245/35 in the front & 275/30 in the rear. He has been rolling around town on this set up for the last week to check for any rubbing issues and we finally found a 245/35 & 275/30 tire combo that does not rub on a lowered coupe!
There is absolutely no rubbing! To purchase these wheels, here is the sale thread link. Exclusive Alloy EX-M1 Wheel & Tire Special Here is some eye candy for now, we will be taking more pictures later this afternoon. Last edited by ExclusiveAlloysE90; 03-06-2008 at 03:03 PM.. |

Finally! Thanks for posting! I can't wait to see more pics.
Are the fenders on that E92 rolled or modified at all? Is there much difference in rear clearance, if any, between an E92 and an E93? I know that they're the same car up front, but I'm not too sure about the rear. If you can, please post some close-up pics to see how the 275/30 tire fits the 10.5" wheel. I'd like to see how stretched it looks, if at all, and how much rim protection they offer. BTW, is that pic with H&R Race springs? It just doesn't look as low as I'd expect with Race springs, even Sport springs for that matter. Sorry for all the questions, but I'm interested in these wheels with 245 and 275 tires and don't want to regret installing them due to fitment issues. But apparently everything should be fine as long as I go with Generals. |

The fenders are not rolled at all. We do not roll the fenders on our cars because that will affect the outcome of our future test fitments on any new wheels we produce. As far as the rear wheel clearance on a coupe versus a convertible, especially a lowered one, there is still the chance of the 275 rubbing depending on how the rear end of the convertible is designed to accommodate the retractable roof. The 275/30 General is not that stretched at all. We were quite busy today and didn't get around to shooting the car. But as soon as we do the pics will be posted asap!
We were just as surprised to see that the H&R race spring appears to not lower the coupe as much as the sedan for some odd reason. And the springs were originally installed on the car back in November of last year so they have had more than plenty of time to settle by now. In regards to this wheel fitment on a convertible, especially a lowered one, I unfortunately cannot provide you with any further info at this time. We have yet to have a convertible install these wheels (unless one of them has and we are just unaware of it at this time). Being from usually always sunny California, surprisingly I very rarely see a convertible around on the streets. Quote:

Forum member Ontopofm posted pics of his white E92 with the gold on it here in our sale thread so you can see what a white car looks like with the gold.

Nope, no rubbing issues what so ever going up drive ways or speed bumps or on our bumpy southern california freeways. My co-worker drove around the car for a week so we could get some extensive "real world" driving situations before we posted our findings.
