POI Categories

Sorry if this topic has been discussed.

For the Nav, I know that if you want to search by POI Name, you have to enter the category first. I would like to ask:

1) Does the car provide you with the POI categories or do you have to type it in manually? How many categories are there?

2) If you want to go to some random places, such as restaurants, gas stations, etc. but you don't know the name, can you ask the Nav to list out the restaurants, gas stations, etc. around the area you are in?

Sorry I can't tell you where, but there is a list of catagories out there somewhere on the foria.
1) car provides, and you have seen them.
2) list is from any of three "ground zeros", present position, destination, where you place the cross hair.
