Yes, if memory serves me correct.

I wasn't paying much attention when they were buying because it didn't interest me at the time.. was more interested in the cool gadgets etc. hahah.. good old days.

Something you're interested in?

if you want me to be honest this is massively overpriced I bought one of them TV's new when they were released for very little more than that. ok without the blue ray stuff but thats cheap too now. You would probably need to look at your pricing to sell.

I was thinking along the same lines. Going by the labels it's 5 year old kit and electronics of that kind of age has very little value.

It's some nice kit and I would have been very interested for my parents had it been a bit newer (and cheaper ).

GLWS matey.

Thanks for the feedback peeps. It is on behalf of my bro in law who is in the States travelling this week.

I know it's a few years old but what is considered dated when this offers so much? Just curious..

He said he'd rather not split the items so his revised asking price is £450 now.. any takers?

I think 450 may still be too much mate.

Not putting down your thread mate. But its not only old but its plasma aswell. They have a very short life span firstly. They are terrible on electric bills aswell.

I just bought a 48" samsung led smart tv for 490 brand new with a warranty.

The way I see it is that at 5 years old, a lot of modern electronics are considered as "getting on a bit", and people just don't want to invest big money in something that could potentially fail at any time, especially when they have no warranty protection.

The TV is worth £300 maybe. It's big but it's old.

You can grab brand new similar size, for 400-500.

The home theatre stuff isn't worth a lot really, £50 if someone wants it, they bundle that stuff with tv's for £100ish new.

World cup is about to start too so TV's will be slashed in price.

I was expecting to see a number starting with a 2 for a quick sale mate ..

300 you might achieve, but probably not on here now after all this discussion. Especially given this isn't second hand it's third hand and especially as ex-display it will be close to the end of it's life given it's a plasma.

I recommend taking off any safety labels so no one could know it was ex-display and then trying it out on ebay but as I said I doubt you'll get anything more than 2xx for it ...

Shame it's not an LCD as I'd have been interested in a TV for the spare room but not a plasma

I was going to comment on this also, best time to buy a TV is a week after the world cup starts

Hi there, just my 2ps worth, my missus works for a rental company and they struggle to shift 2 year old ex rentals for £150 , I brought a Panasonic blue ray home cinema for £60, so just think your being a bit optimistic with them prices.
