New Suspension Option!

Im a frequent visitor at the BMW site, so I guess this is not a repost or old news.

I found that there is now an option to pick the suspension of your 335i!!!

After so many back and fwd if the M-Sport Package will offer a different suspension than the standard Sport Package, I found that if you want (and pay $1,167 extra) you can get a BMW Performance Suspension.

The website at the BYO on the Accessories section reads:
At the heart of performance is handling. And how well a BMW handles is directly influenced by its suspension. BMW Performance Suspension lets you savor every curve and every corner like never before. This aggressive package is up to 25 mm lower and increases spring rates up to 48%. Anti-roll bars are 26.5 mm in the front and 12 mm in the rear

I'm getting that thing in my next one for sure!
:-)

Have an Ultimate Driving Day!

He's right. It's a new addition. You can now choose BMW's performance suspension.

Correct. Accessory, not factory option.

So how is it? Is the BMW Performance Suspension worth the $1,167 + dealer installation charges? Does your car now have a set of decent coil-overs (or just firmer springs) and thicker sways? Does it significantly improve handling?

I added it to my 2010 E92 335i "pre-order"...looking for better handling, especially at Hwy speeds.

He added it separately. It didn't come with his car.

The performance suspension is a PORT installed option, just like the OEM aero kit was.

So, does that mean that the price for this option is $1,167 or does BMW charge extra for installation? I know they charge extra for installation when you add it as a dealer-installed option, but what about when you choose this option when "building your car?"

Your CA should be able to help you with final pricing. They should have a price list of sorts (installed prices). Unless you're aiming to work that into your financing or lease I'd just retrofit it. At least you can recoup some of the funds by selling off your stock zsp springs and shocks.

Not very excited about the sway bar set up on the new BMW Perf kit. I used the 14mm rear sway.
