They look alright all though nothing beats the stock Idrive I think it gives a little more spice and flare to the interior not sure if it would positively effect resale value I think most people want it original maybe you could reverse it who knows

Absolutely not. Had something exactly the same. Dynavin. The placement is soooo low that it's actually dangerous

Thats an awesome set up! Bluetooth audio with steering wheel controls! And a really good price too.
With logic 7, though, you'd have to switch amps. Which would be a pain in the butt to wire, but would probably end up sounding better than stock amp. The Dynavin unit from what i understand is 4 times this price.

if it was another car i would have said yes but knowing the finicky bmw electronic setup you might mess up the whole system. i would leave it as is as there is no replacement for the factory i-drive (unless if you go with the whole dash replacement which was done by someone).

This was my solution:
eh..pics aren't coming out, not sure why, there are in a forum album, which is supposed to be publicly available. Here is the link to the album, maybe that will work: http://www.e90post.com/forums/album.php?albumid=7206 Last edited by chromisdesigns; 08-04-2012 at 10:02 PM.. Reason: pictures not showing up |

I have a Pro Clip on my dash and an iPhone 4 with Garmin, and the cables routed into the glove box/down and under the passenger floor matt for organization/look.
I will likely get my next BMW with iDrive, Nav, and all that goodness, but for now, my version works wonderfully. |

I think this is a great option for someone who wants to integrate other functions . I value the bluetooth streaming and the wheel controls more than I do the navigation. My wife has navigation in her truck and I would rather use my iPhone than try to use the truck one.
I would consider this as a great option not because of the gps function because at the end of the day, I know where I am going, I don't need the car to tell me. however this allows me to integrate other functions that my current "professional" does not. Price point is also great. I will wait to hear from you OP on how it does and how the car reacts to the electronics. I am also curiose to see if it will read the MPG, Range, and other functions that the Professional does. |

This product is absolute garbage. Quality, Interface, Fitment, Usability, Location ALL OF IT is worse than a jar of fart.

Factory set up is good enough for me and I can always use my GPS on my phone or even my Ipad. Thanks for the update on this unit. |
