I'm in the same boat. Lost my key on a business trip and now I only have one...

I think you can do this:

1. Get replacement keyfob on ebay
2. Get keyfob reprogrammed by dealer
3. Buy physical key blank on ebay and have it cut by a key service at the mall or wherever

Key is not that expensive. It is the "work time" it takes the dealer to reprogram it.

Are we talking the physical metal key, or the key fob remote? I think if you get a key fob remote off of eBay it needs to be a true blank, never programmed previously, and then the dealer can program it to your car.

I don't believe they can reprogram previously programmed fobs.
