took my car into the GETTY in New Hyde Park, located btw herricks road and Hillside avenue, to get my eibach springs installed.

i dropped the car off and went to work, i just got a call from the guy he said $400!!!!!!!!! to install my springs wtf is that!

no F'in way, i'm going to get my car back.

Why'd you take it to a gas station mechanic for?

If you post on here, there are a couple of members that will charge a lot less to help you install the springs.

wow 400...100 per spring. He probably saw your bimmer and though you have big pockets and wouldnt mind getting ripped off.

Isnt it normally like 200 if you get them installed at a shop?

i always imagined it would be.
i was SO shocked at his price, and honestly, he had the look of an old man that didnt think there was a problem with his quote....but i was far from accepting his offer so there was no room for negotiation...not that i want to anyway.

hey man as long as he didint do it and u got ur car our of there all rdy...F that syit hell no......those gas srtations are always rip ofs and will do a half as job prob..

MAybe we could do a mini meet in NJ fora spring install? I have my H&R to install. So does a friend of mine that just got a 335. We were goign t otry the install ourselves but I sertainly would feel more comfortable if there was someone else there that has done it before. AutoCouture, you up for it?

I got a quote $650!!!!!!

since i came to this forum, or any forum in the past, i've always heard the price to be approx $100-$200. the guy said he was a little backed up so i should leave the car and he'd call me with the price when he got to my car.
i knew it would take a while to install so i figured ok why not.

yeah, i'm pretty lucky he didnt just install it without calling me first.

i'm planning to go to woodbury commons to get my springs installed by e90post member Placey, anyone go to him b4?
