I have a 'Stiff Box'
Wife drove the BM for the first time this evening (don't worry I've checked the alloys) But when she got back, I got a phone call from her in the car outside, she was unable to get it in reverse and park it on the drive! Now I must admit the 'Box is Stiff', sometimes I have a problem with selecting reverse. I have just under a 1000 on the clock and it's a week old. When will it start to loosen? At the moment my wife can't drive it, cos she can't go backwards.

It is a bit stiff but there is also a knack to doing it so I am sure she will get used to it. I don't think my wife has found reverse gear.

A knack!
Shame the 'Handbook' does not mention that, it just say's - A slight resistance has to be overcome! That's short for 'Stiff Box'!

Gentlemen, I'm more than happy to show your wive's how to find reverse, never kerb alloys and show them how to 'thrash the arse' off your cars.
Deal? Think 1000 miles is a bit soon to tell for sure, especially reverse. |
