Xenons question
OK so I should know better, I should
But, I shall ask the E90 Gurus ........ to my knowledge I dont have auto lights, however in the off position the Halos are lit - is this normal? Are the Halos lit all the time? (not that I mind) I've also noticed that if I turn the light switch to side lights, activating the Halos they dim - in comparasion to them being lit in the off position?? |

They dim because when the side lights are off, they act as DRL's. You should be able to turn off the DRL's via the left OBC stalk or idrive if you have it.

Makes sense now, having now done a little google on DRTs I find this.. http://www.bmw.co.uk/bmwuk/bmwcorpor...html?selPage=6
Seems daft to have them brighter than the sidelights though? |

DRL's need to be bright, to be seen in daylight If you turn them off, then you just have ordinary lights. |

You've been most helpful thanks creepy coupe!
Shame these DRL's and side lights are not as white as the Xenons. Last edited by Dizzle; 01-11-2011 at 07:10 AM.. |
