e92 sport suspension on e90
I have a 2007 e90 328 sedan with stock suspension but want a little drop along with a good ride. I can get a springs/shocks sport suspension from a 2007 e92 335 coupe for a good price from someone that is going to coilovers.
Will this work OK? Are there any other changes that would need to be made other than swapping springs and shocks? |

The odds are pretty good that the spring rate would be a little different. You can go to realoem.com to check the parts, but it is just going to tell you that there are too many variables in spring selection for them to give you a part number.
Then again I don't think aftermarket springs are too picky on which E9x car they go on, so that is something to consider. Really, given the cost of labor, and the cost of springs, you would be much better off just getting some springs you know fit your car. I doubt there is much difference with the shocks, so you could use those. For the springs, you really need part numbers, but even then you aren't going to know if there is an issue if the numbers don't match.

Thanks chaz58,
That's what I'm thinking if I can't verify the part #'s. I was just hoping someone would know for sure if the coupe sport suspension springs and shocks were different from the sedan. |
