the tank install is very clean!
is there a requirement that the pump has to be inside the trunk? could it be on the bottom of the car? maybe closer to the rear bumper? nvm saw the response on pump location. i wonder how much dirt gets kicked up around these areas. the various plastic pieces down there have tons of dirt and crap, it just didn't seem like a safe spot for the pump

The only spot is behind the drivers side rear wheel whele. There is a nice spot just large enough to fit the pump. The plastic liner covers any dirt from hitting the pump from the tire Its basically where then splash guards would be, the pocket behind then plastic!! I found the location because I have a vert and that location was the only place I can I can fit the pump as the sides where yours is located the convertible top when retracted into trunk would hit it. With a custom bracket it fits nice and snug in there.

Nice install but is it possible to leave the pump in the engine bay? If primed will it be able to draw the fluid from the tank? I'd much rather leave my pump in the engine bay and just have the tank in the trunk.

The pump is not designed to overcome the restriction of a 3 ft hose on the suction side. You may run into trouble with such solution even though it should work if and when there is absolutely no air in the hose. The pump and fittings are also better protected in the trunk.

Any idea about the baffling they applied? Does it more or less try to separate the deep portion of the flat portion on the top?
Is the tank anodized from inside and does the anodizing prevent the aluminum from corroding? |

JP that tank is definitely really nice and if I had a coupe that's a no brainer, but that pocket in the trunk for an E93 holds the hydralic pump for the convertible top and awhile ago FBIS used that location for his meth pump, so I scrambled and found the location behind drivers wheel whele |

Just another thought. Instead of dealing with relocating the amp, and putting the pump in it's place, why not put the pump under the amp. It's technically outside the car, but is protected by plastic covers, bumpers, and wheel wells on all sides. I don't have meth in my car yet, so I don't know if it will work in practice, but it's a possibility I think might be worth looking into for a complete stealth install. If I read right, I think it's the same spot cn555ic suggested.

although it might be perfectly safe in there, it still scares me a little. My car sees a LOT of salt/snow/rocks/etc while going up to Vermont during the winter. I don't mind the the relocation of the amp since apparently the wire length is fine - no modifications needed really to make that work

and yes the wire length is perfect to relocate it like in the picture, if you can lose that 1" in height mounting it where you did its the ideal spot |

Not to take away from the advan meth tank but this is was the most reliable easy to use setup I had:
Pump was mounted under the trunk cover. Lines ran under the car. Easy to fill, just open back seat. I can still put stuff in the trunk, and maybe lost 12 Square inches of space. I thought about mounting over the amp but I didnt like the idea that meth could potentially leak or spill when filling the tank onto the amp. |

Right, it's not the amp's location, but rather the location below the amp that could possibly work. I'm just tossing out additional ideas. if it works, great if not, oh well, it was an idea.

Don't take this the wrong way but you lose nearly a 1/4 of the fluid capacity. You can probably get away with a smaller true gravity fed tank and still be able to use 99% of the fluid actually in the tank. Between shifts the meth is going to slosh around and create air pockets too when fluid gets low. Just some food for thought.
