Help: Need C-Clip for charge pipe

I explained it in this thread (http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=729908) but i figured i'd ask for help here since more people check this section. So basically on Tuesday my charge pipe broke off and as a result the C-clip or spring clip is nowhere to be found. I ordered a new ER charge pipe but just realized i can't do anything without that clip. Does anyone know a part number or if there is anyway i can get ahold of that clip used to secure the charge pipe to the throttle body? I emailed BMW parts of southatlanta and they said for that part you need to buy a whole charge pipe which i really want to do... I found this one but i don't know if it's the same size. Can anyone who's done both installs maybe comment on if this clip would work (http://parts.bmwofsouthatlanta.com/p...517798485.html)? Thanks!

I had to buy a used charge pipe to get that clip. I would say that as of this moment, your cheapest option is buying an aftermarket charge pipe that doesn't use the c clip.

I would but i already ordered the ER and had it rushed so it's arriving tomorrow...

I bought a used stock cp that came with the clip.

I would have just bought a used CP for cheap.

I would've except i didn't want the same thing to happen again down the road... When it happened the car would literally barely accelerate so i would hate for that to happen when i was on my way going somewhere far away

I meant buy the used stock one to get the c clip. That's what I had to do when I switched from my AP CP to ER.

But then I have no use for the pipe afterwards

Right but you can't buy just the clip new. It only comes with the CP. so your best bet is to try to get someone to sell you just the clip, which prob won't happen, or buy a used CP with the clip.

While I know the clip for the CP is much more rare, I've lost the clip off the oil temperature sensor and I called my dealer to see if they had one lying around. 10 minutes later I had one in hand, for free! Worth a shot.

I'll probably do that if i can't find one when i get home. I'm away until Thursday so worst case is i'll try that and hope for the best
