HiFi system, Technic Harness, 360/4 JL audio Amp,
Okay guys I'm in the middle of working on this setup. This is not my final setup as I'm going to be picking a 2nd amp soon. I'm just trying to get the hang of the components I do have.
So I have a jL audio 360/4 Amp. right now I have it all connected with technic hifi harness. I have a HF filter set to the front speakers, front channel going to the factory front speakers. (haven't had the opportunity to install the Rainbows yet) ^all of this is a work in progress and will not stay this way. its just a quick background... The Main question: But for the rear channels of the amp, I have it bridged to a single sub. a Hertz ES 250... For some reason I feel like I'm not getting nearly enough bass, or powerful thump from it. I have the Low pass filter set on the amp, and the only way I can get enough sound out of the sub is by turning the frequency filter to 200Hz. Again still no solid bass like I'm used to from my previous setup. I understand its a small 10" sub and not a lot of power going to it, but I expected more and certainly feel like something is missing. There is an input sensitivity control on the amp. I haven't messed with the 'input sensitivity control' could this be my issue? and how should I adjust this to an optimum level if so? |

Input sensitivity = gain. Turn the know clockwise until you get the desired level.
