I'm tempted to get some and try on the flex, but was wondering if there was any more feedback out there yet?

I tried it a couple of weeks ago, I thought it was great. It worked really well and is way faster than using clay. I say go for it.

try using a clay bar after and see what else you will pick up.

from what I have heard, it get about 80-90%, then claying after gets the rest

Everything I do is a DD, so not sure I need to spend the extra time to get that last 10-20%. Plus my basic pay is usually a hug and MAYBE some dinner Not complaining at all, just not looking for concourse finishes.

Maybe I'll do a hood with clay to see how much more?

I used the Nanoskin and loved it. Cut down the claying process by 80%. I didn't know that it did not pick up 100% of the contaminant. After the Nanoskin, the paint feel very smooth to touch.

I am glad i am not the only one who experienced this.....maybe i am doing something wrong . I am also not seeing the dramatic time savings others are claiming. i will still continue to use it because at the end of the day.....i simply don't feel as tired (vs claying). This in itself is worth the money.

Mine melted... Just left it in the sunlight for 10-15 min. $50 piece of rubber and foam ruined.

Just bought the nanoskin towel, will probably get it out this weekend or next, pending time. Interested to see how much time it will save.

Great article here on the NanoSkin AutoScrub Foam Pads by Greg from Signature Detailing. He even took the time to interview David from NanoSkin for added insight.

Personally the NanoSkin AutoScrub Fine Foam Pad have helped us clean much faster than a traditional clay bar. This has been a tremendous help when time is short and it's done a thorough job. The down side to me is you need a ton of the Glide to lubricate the surface, but luckily just one bottle should be diluted 7:1 (water:glide). The other down side is it's just tough to use in really tight spaces, same troubles while working in a polish. Overall I love it and think it will continue to become a larger part of quality detailing. Let me know if you have any other questions and I'll be happy to help.

Agree with all the above...I use the 6" by hand...and can decontaminate a car in 10 min

Also, on a test hood....it did not mar or do anything bad to the paint

This Nano Skin sounds interresting. One question, what happens to the particals during the process? Does it need rinsing after each panel?

It's black, it absorbs the sunlight much more efficiently. Try putting on a black nitrile glove and see how quickly your hand starts to bake.

it's great. i have used it and i love it. It's much easier to use and less energy required than the clay. However, the time saving I think it's maybe 25-40% less times but nothing like advertised. Great stuff. love it. Plan on getting some more soon.

I used the towel last night on my old DD, a white 1994 Volvo 940 turbo. The hood looked MUCH better afterwards, and the process a LOT quicker than clay. I saw a bit of marring on the front trailing edge afterwards, but I'm not sure if that was already there. It came out with some vigorous rubbing with a foam pad and Meguiar's cleaner carnauba wax.

One thing I noticed is that the cloth needs a very liberal amount of the lubricant solution on it. Maybe the marring happened on spots that I didn't wet down enough. Also, it did a fantastic job of removing rail dust-- the Meguiar's clay I used barely removed it, but the cloth removed it really quickly. Judging by that, the cloth seems to be more aggressive than clay, so plan on using lots of surface lubricant, apply gentle pressure, and of course follow up with a wax/sealant.
