traction control kicking in at odd times?

Good news: just got back from about a 700 mile road trip with no problems whatsoever. Absolutely nothing broke, caught on fire, made weird noises, smelled funny, or smoked. Only one odd thing occurred.

Oddness: this happened to me twice, and both times the road conditions were very similar. I was going up a fairly steep hill with the cruise control on at about 70-75 MPH. The cruise control disengaged with the warning message that it was disengaged due to traction control activation. Any ideas? I actually have my winter tires on so it's a square setup; roads were clean and dry both times although roads were a little bumpy and curvy. Should I be worried?

Car is fantastic otherwise... it's an excellent all-day driver.
