ya that thing is not for us haha. Im pretty sure its only fun if you have a 1200hp car. Which they do..

tjobeid, nah that is NOT true. it may not be for you but there are on average over 200 cars there of which 100 compete....EVO's, mustangs, Merc-AMGs, Audi's, CTS-Vs, Camaro's, Civic's, Scion's and of course Lambo's, Supra's and GTRs all tuned by two-dozen different shops not to forget motorcycles... all of them are not putting down 1200whp... not even half have nowhere near that level of power.

I'd say 25% are above 850rwhp, 50% are between 500-849whp and the last 25% are under 500whp but know there cars are so lightweight that they can still be/get pretty Fast in a MILE.

you should come and spectate, see for yourself. i went to the Texas Mile back in 2009 as a car hauler and vowed to bring my M3 and that time has presented itself

only BMW's i remember seeing where S85 equipped M5/M6s and one modded 335...i am sure he had a blast, he must have ran about 10 times all 3 days

RioGrandeValley, I will....be on the Hunt for anything under 800whp....those guys have traction/power delivery issues so i hope to be competitive by capitalizing on there mistakes

I have a modded 335i and was wanting to do this but didn't want to look like an idiot and not even break 155mph. It sounds like an amazing experience though.

tuned3, No such thing as Looking like an Idiot. were all grown ups out there. your out there to have fun and see what YOUR car feels like @ those speeds.

get the limiter removed before you do the mile?

Or just come out and support the other BMWs out there so u see for yourself how this event is conducted and who attends.

Loen, that's a very good point. I went online to register and noticed it was full. I will attend this year and like you said show some support. I will definitely be doing this next year. I plan on doing the import face off at Baytown this Oct. We will see how that goes. Thanks for the advice.

The car has bms jb4, bms intake, bms downpipes, and has the alpina transmission flash. Not sure what the speed will be mainly just going out to have a good time. I've attended every Texas Mile event since they started but this will be my first time to run a car.

Yeah its always a good time. Usually on Sunday a lot of spectators come out and watch and usually most of them are in some cool cars.
