Looks great Peter. Love the coral - reminds me of some early SL55s.

While I was paying £37 (!) for some xenon beam convertors at the BMW dealer and complaining about the lack of levers to flatten the beam, he mentioned that you can't alter the beam for lhd on the new Z4 and they didn't do the beam convertors. Mind it wouldn't be the first time this dealer was talking rubbish. You may want to ask if you're considering going abroad...

And I get accused of changing my cars often

Didn't think the Skoda would last long and what a nice new purchase you've got there. I bet you're all excited aren't you??

Does this mean I win the £50 because you bought a car first (as I attempt to alter the terms of the bet )

Love the car.. look forward to reading reviews of your drives in it!

The Vrs is a lovely care too, tempted to rid the BMW and "downgrade" for a bit and a Vrs would be lovely... just cannot afford the swap at this stage.

Congratulations Peter that does look superb!
The current Z4 is one of the best looking cars in the entire BMW range.
White with red leather is a fantastic combo, bet you can't wait till December.

Cheers all, I am hoping that this is THE one, the keeper, the car I don't wish to part from.... I know it will be worth the wait.

The 23i was a MUCH better drive, despite the power deficit.
Tony, thanks for pointing that out. I will give it some thought and discuss with the dealer when I next talk to them. I would be surprised if they said yes, seeing as I am not a face to face customer and have already had a fair wedge of goodwill with the discount and finance subsidy. Do you know if the dealers who have changed the run-flats were Park Lane/Battersea group?

Very nice indeed Peter. I don't think verts are all about power. My Missus had an MX5 which was a blast, but very basic and no real creature comforts. She now owns a 230 SLK which is no way a sports car, but very nice to drive, with the lid off.

Skoda vRS has now been sold, it generated a lot of interest in a short space of time and it was cheap motoring for 3 months. I am now relegated to the Mini Cooper for a few months, if I am allowed access to it!

I am getting the jitters about the colour combo of my Z4 - Alpine White and Coral Leather, I know it is a personal choice but I keep looking at Melbourne Red and Black Leather. If this car is a keeper, I have to get it right! I think I have made the right choice with White but......

So, for purely research reasons...vote please... M Red vs A White....

M Red

A White

I've been in an Alpine White recently. Looks brilliant but she had the black leather and i think it's too dull inside the car. Go red leather white car

Going by those photos Peter, the red one looks much more dramatic.

Although I think White is dated now the Z4 looks nicer in White.. I don't think red suits it. Personally I think the Z4 looks better in darker colours. Blues and
blacks.
