Warranty Qustion

New BMW owner here. The person who sold me the car wasn't very helpful (not from a BMW dealership) and didn't explain the warranty to me very well. I was/am under the impression that almost anything is covered for the first 4 years/50,000 miles.

Is that the way it works? The reason I ask is that almost exactly at 55mph, my steering wheel startes to shake back and forth a little bit, and its driving me crazy. Is this covered if I bring it to a BMW dealer?

Also, anywhere you know of that has a guide to the BMW warranty and what it covers? I searched but couldn't find the answer I was looking for.

Sorry in advance for the noobish question.

Olie

You can check bmwusa.com to see what the warranty covers. I'm not sure what the issue with your car is but it will most likely be covered under the 4 year/50,000 mile new car warranty. When you go to the dealer, have them print you out a carfax report or have them tell you what the original in service date was so you know how long your warranty is good for.

Almost everything is covered, but tire balance and alignment are not. So it depends on what the problem turns out to be.

It sounds like you just need a alignment and/or wheel balance. How does the car ride at lower speeds?
