7" ETS fmic fitment issue

So I spend most my day installing this intercooler on my 08 335 without instructions w the help of this forum. Thanks guys. But I came across a fitment issue with the drivers side coupler that connects the fmic to the supplied pipe that connects to my chargepipe. As u can tell in my horrible picture the couple is pushed against some plastic pipe that goes across the car under the motor. Pushing against it so much that it's pushing in the coupler. It took a lot of force to line up the screws too. Please tell me I did something wrong and it's not the "way it is" for a $950 fmic. I noticed the stock pipe had a molded dent for it

While I don't have any experience with their intercooler, I did install their charge-pipe. After that, I won't be using any more of their parts. The install was a pain, their couplers were the wrong size, the clamps did not fit. Overall was a major PITA. They made great parts for my Evo, but I think their BMW lines leaves a little to be desired.

Have you tried emailing/calling ETS? They may be able to help you out if you send them that picture. Good luck!

I have the ETS 5 inch, and got there charge pipe etc.. It was a major pain in the ass to get it fitting just right, after wiggling, adjusting both sides and so on we finally got everything to line up just right and all is good. 7 inch should be the same just need to trim the front plastic and stuff, maybe you can trim more, allowing the intercooler to move forward some and let that hose come off the pipe?
