Will the dealer offer paint protection?

If not, where is the best place to go? I know there is a type of protection where a clear thin plastic coating is actually physically stuck on top of the paint, what does everyone think about this?
Quite a few members here have gone with paint and leather protection. Some believe it to be a good investment. Any paint protection product will eventually break down and will need to be re-applied. If you plan to maintain your car yourself on a regular basis then I wouldn't pay for the paint protection. Given the cost - you could get a detailer to polish your car professionally once a year and you could wax it yourself every 2-3 months in between. Astra has had great success with the leather protection - she has white leather though. The benefit is they repair or replace any damaged leather components at no cost. If you have black leather - you could opt to maintain it yourself.

There is a clear vinyl product that can be applied to the front bumper, guards, bonnet to protect against stone chips etc. Its referred to as a clear bra and there are several suppliers for this product. Not sure if anyone here has tried it - it can yellow a bit over time.

Hi all

I have ordered my E92 335i today!!!!!!

After shopping around in 3 different dealers and intense negotiation, I have finally come to an excellent deal with Brisbane BMW.

I think the fact that today is the last weekend of the month and is approaching to end of financial year helps me get a deal I am happy with.

Expecting delivery in late August, can't wait.

Here is my option list:
- Sparkling graphite
- Coral red
- Poplar grain wood
- Manual
- M-Sports
- Sunroof
- Individual Alumium pedals

Can't wait!!!!

Congratulations ..... Sounds great

You should speak to your sales person and ask them to get you on the Fascination 3 drive day happening in 2 weeks time. I'm going to the Friday 9th May morning session. You'll get to do a few hot laps in a 335i as well as appreciate a lot of the features of the car.

Hi

Just a few comments:

1. I have already heard 3 people saying my colour combo is 'interesting'. Honestly does it look weird?
2. Thanks for letting me know about the Fasination drive day. I now got a place on 10 May Saturday in the morning.

I think the interesting remark regarding the colour combo is mostly related to the coral red leather, i don't mind it, but it is a rather bright red (personally i prefer a darker red, but that's me), hence you will find it tends to polarise opinions. Very much like if you were to get a red car, some will love it, some will hate it, i guess the beauty of having a red interior is that your the one who see's it everyday and not everyone you pass by.

Coral Red is awesome.

I should go for Coral Red + Titanium Silver , instead of Black Leather + Titanium Silver. but im very happy with current Black.

I was about to change to COral Red, but too late ( car on Production already )

One of our guys in our Melbourne office got himself an E92 with the coral red interior and after 12 months everyones still asking him why he doesn't use the matching handbag and purse that should have come with that coulor. I personally don't think it's "gay" and I think it makes a nice change from black or grey. (I'm not one for any shades or brown either)

The wait is really becoming unbearable.

It is not even 2 weeks and I felt like I have been waiting for 2 years.

How did everyone cope with the wait?

Congrats on the purchase.

Yes the wait is agonising. I downloaded the manual and read it back to front a couple if times, surfed the web for cool BMW pictures, and trawled this forum for interesting info. Learnt heaps b4 I got it.

Got my 325 at bris BMW, had an excellent experience. Great service.

I didn't go for any protection but I look after my car on a regular basis, the car is garaged at work & home, geez it's only outside about an hr a day. So in my case it wasn't worth the grand.
However when you're spending $100k plus whats an extra k.

I got my e92 335 from Brisbane BMW as well. I have dealt with them for several years and always been top service. I moved from Brisbane to Sunshine Coast 3 years ago and still get my servicing done by them. PM me if you want some contact names.
