Sound+CCC gone. Problem with JBE. Fault code A731.

Fault code: A731 JBE Terminal 30g_f

So, I've got my first car 6 months ago. A BMW 325i -06.
I've never really been interested in cars. But about a few weeks ago it changed.
My sound and CCC suddenly stopped working. So I started to do research and read through manuals and other material about the electrical system hours after hours. Terminals, data links, buses and so on. It's really interesting.

I've reached as far as I can though. But after searching google yet another day I acutally found a site/database that claims to have a solution. But since I'm not a mechanic, but and enthusiast, I can't access iATN. Besides this database there's only 1(!) other source with the same fault code as mine and no useful information.

This is the url: http://www.iatn.net/techhelp/50/8269...-radio-and-nav

If anyone can access this I would be so greatful.

Radio without power A731 Bi Stable relay, Fuse?

I have an E90 330i with the same problem today. My Professional BMW radio stop working, the display went out (no power). I scanned with my BT tool and came up with A731 Bi - Stable relay; signal or value below threshold.

Is this a fuse replacement issue?

I too have searched the internet and only found the iATN website with a fix. Anyone out here that can help a bunch of us with similar problems?

Check the battery first the IBS system may have turned it
off due to a low charge condition.

Or the Ibs could be bad.

electical e90 pdf

Read first pdf for how the IBS functions.

The most common cause of lack of sound in an L7 system is water on the amp
but that would not cause the display on the radio to go dead.

Pictures show a fuse on the back of the Pro Radio and I drive units there are also
fuses listed for the Fuse Panel.

It worked again after a night of rest. I think it's related to coolant bleeding process I went through. It might have drained or depleted the battery.

Good idea, I'll take it for a run. Was thinking of buying a battery tender device. Just not sure if it's worth it.

If you don't go on long drives or let the car sit for extended
periods of time it is.
Lets see the cheapest battery you can get is about 110 for these
and goes up to 300.
An Indy will charge you around 2 to 3 hundred to install and register
a battery . A dealer starts at 300 and goes up from there, I have seen
one guy that was charged 700 for a battery install.
A nice battery tender is about 75 bucks Ctek 4.3 or better.

Also these cars are battery hogs.
