Car Coding
Well thanks to several members, I was able to get a hold of Shane for coding. Problem is he was not sure when he would be down this way, and I cannot travel up to him at the moment. Does anyone know if there is someone else in the NOVA area that can perform the coding or if any local vendors offer the service?

Shane did my car few months as well. Had to bring in my car for recalls and they flashed my car with new software. I'm interested in this as well. Please PM me if you can help.

Look for meets in the area. I had one set up with Shane coming out two weeks ago but something kept him from coming. We can try again if everyone is interested. Pm me if you're interested.

There's a guy from NY that's offering free coding. We just need to do a deposit for his laptop/cable thingie and will get refunded once the next person receives the goods.

Not gonna lie, that sounds a little shady. Besides, Shane's a good guy to know. He'll recode your car once the dealer screws something up with the software update. He's also part of Eurowerkz group.

I have a cable that works for 2007 e9x's if anyone wants to try coding their car.
I've coded a couple of things on mine, but I don't feel comfortable offering to code others yet.

The guy the poster before you is referencing has been coding cars for free for quite some time now. He is just ensuring that someone isn't going to lose his cable.

There's a whole forum category named BMW Coding, that has all the info you need.
