FIVE additional diesels for MY2014 in the US!
Bimmerfest posted a copy of the US 2014MY model itinerary that they got from BMW Santa Barbara:
http://www.bimmerfest.com/forums/att...1&d=1359878557 New models: F30: 328d, 328d xDrive F31: 328xd F10: 535d, 535d xDrive All start production in July. The F15 X5 xDrive 35d is sticking around, but the 2014 doesn't begin production until December. This is awesome news, as my wife was asking me just last week what we'll replace her 2007 RX350 (whose extended warranty ends in 11 months) with, and I was bemoaning the lack of powerful RWD/AWD diesels in the current market. Neither of us wants another SUV, so the X5 is out, and I thought that meant I was out of luck. Looks like my answer has come--535d it is! |

New 3.0 diesel has about same # on HP and torque as our car, but should have much better MPG. (At least European version) will see

Got this on line!
Inside, BMW is expected to release new trim and leather options. No news on whether the new iDrive Touch Controller will make its way into the facelift or it will be saved for future all-new models. The best news comes for the US market, where the LCI 535d bi-turbo Diesel (313 hp / 600 NM of torque) will be available from 2014. Here are is a post with the first spy photos of the F10 LCI: http://www.5seriesblog.com/2012/10/1...-spy-pictures/ |

I hope they don't dumb down the HP/TQ figures for when the car comes to North America.

I hope not. 5 series needs more HP and TQ because is heavier than 3 series.

2.0L 4-cylinder. Sold as the 320d in Europe, but they're trying to equate it as being most similar to the 328i in terms of performance (and presumably, price) for the US market. Rumor is that we'll get the 184bhp, 280lbft twin-scroll (single turbo) version, rather than the 204/295 twin-turbo version.

If these come in under $33k I'll be seriously looking into trading. Thats a serious torque improvement over my N52. |

All the 4-cylinder diesels, from the 116d/316d to the 325d/525d, appear to be the same 1995cc block with different turbos and tuning to hit the various power levels. |
