Assuming your crownwheel is bolted rather than welded, then it's a case of dropping your exhaust, drive shafts, propshaft, diff casing, then splitting the casing and swapping over the crownwheel, and reassembly.
3 hours if you've got a ramp and you're handy with the spanners.

The quaife units are best supplied already in a diff housing on an exchange basis, so you only have to swap out the 'pumpkin' as its called.
Spltting the diff housing and fitting the diff in it yourself cold be problematic as I believe parts have to shimmed to set gear backlash correclty. But I still say 3 hours anyway, at a workshop, on a ramp. |
