Eric, this has not, and will not cause any ECU codes. I've had my Dinan intake for over a year with not issues. My dealer could care less that it's there. The same goes for the BMW Performance Intake. I don't think it's a big deal if the dealer doesn't install the parts. They're both pretty straight forward easy mods that any independent shop, or yourself, can install. If you're really worried, or your dealer is picky, have them install the OEM parts so it fully complies with warranty.

You have to cut the existing muffler off. Some bolt on the new muffler to the new piping and some others have it welded. When I get mine i will have it bolted on.
