Yeh but everyone knows what a Ferrari looks like so taking that, it would be fine to debadge a Ferrari from OP POV...

(personally I def wouldn't)

Taking off the rundel is like taking the red cross out of the Union Jack or like taking the stars out of the Stars-n-Stripes. You just don't it.

actually thinking back a few years. My mate had a 3 year old Corvette in red.

Came out a club and some birds did think it was a ferrari

Not sure about it mate, certainly different but I can't make up my mind as to whether I like it or not.

Main thing is this; if you like it, that is all that matters!

Also, no matter which way you slice it, it's been done to a high standard, from those photos there is no evidence there ever was a badge. Skillful filler application and paint finish!

Yeh I know, it's outrageous how people out there would rather go play bowls or croquet than take a Bimmer out on a spirited drive

I like it but would go further and make the roundels on the wheels solid blue.

If it looks naff, change back.

No mistaking it as anything other than a cracking BMW.. individualised.

For sure, there's no way you can mistake it for anything other than a 3 series BMW.

There is though. Not so much mistaking it for another motor, but mistaking it for something other than a BMW.

Not everyone knows what a 3 series looks like, but they'll know it is an expensive motor ...but all know what a BMW is. I have pride in buying a BMW therefore feel the need to leave the badge on. There were some girls at uni who asked what my car was even though the BMW badge was on there...go figure.

Same thing goes for the marques of BMWs. Ask a randomer to categorise a 1, 3, 5, 6 or 7 series car. Not many are aware.

Thankyou for all your comments, good and bad, spacers for wheels ordered. I love the car and as far as i'm concerned if someone doesn't realise its a BMW then thats there problem, I know it is and thats all that counts.....

PS, mostly welded discs in the holes for a sturdiness.

I think the rear looks clean but I would probably prefer the roundel on the front. Nice job!
