Advice on New Wheels and Tires
UPDATE: Some people have suggested to go with another set of wheels since the VMR-v710's are very common. I was thinking about these other options: Avant Garde M310 or M359, Miro 111, and the VMR- VB3 or V18.
Let me know what you guys recommend! I'm looking into buy a set of VMR-v710 and can't decide on the setup I should purchase. So my car is sparkling graphite metallic and it's almso FBO less a FMIC and performance exhaust, I also just got my BMS meth kit installed thanks to bimmersport . Here are the questions I'm looking to get opinions/experiences/insight on : 1. What color rim best goes with my car color (sparkling graphite metallic) in order to give it that aggressive look? 2. I will be buying 19" rims, but what width should the rims be? (ie 8.5 and 9.5) This is what VMR suggested to me: 19x8.5 +35, 19x9.5 +33 UPDATE: I am thinking of getting 19x10 for the rears, let me know any information you have regarding this setup! 3. What size tires should I buy? I want something that provides very good traction, but also a nice aggressive stance! This is what VMR suggested to me: 235/35/19, 265/30/19 Hankook Ventus V12 evo K110 Max Performance Summer 4. I am thinking of getting my fenders rolled in order to obtain that aggressive stance, as well as a set of H&R sport springs and wheel spacers. -Can someone recommend me a good place to get my fenders rolled in the GTA? - Also what was the part number for the e92 H&R sport springs? Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think it was (50490-2) or something.... -Finally what wheel spacer size do you guys recommend in order to get that aggressive stance? With and Without a fender roll. Thanks for reading, and all insights are much appreciated Last edited by gunda; 12-12-2012 at 03:13 PM.. |

No fendor roll needed, go with m310 same design better casting method. Tires are perfectly find offsets are pretty much good to go with the springs but other e92 members can chime in.

What color is your car? I think car color has a lot to do with the color selection of your rims.
I have a white 335 and LOVE the look of glass black rims which is how I will be getting them powder coated. |

Everyone has their own opinion on what an aggressive fitment is... 11" +25 offset won't be a simple fit though. Post a pic or just text me one of a car that you think has perfect fitment and I'll help you with getting the look down. As for the colour, you can make any of them look good haha, just decide on what your final look will be like and base the wheel colour off that.

Black. The graphite etc will be close to matching. I think black is the only way to go. Have you looked at 713? EVERYONE has a 710 look alike. 701 above looks awesome too. be different.

I was going to say you should just pick a different rim since so many people have VMR's. But I must admit, these have a nice design to them
I would do dark gun metal with your car, or perhaps Matt black. |

I would consider other options, but I am also on a budget. Could you guys give me a list of alternatives that are the same price as the vmr-v710's? I know of the:
miro 111, m310, vb3, and v18 |

I would say get nice 3 piece rim and depending how aggressive of a look you want you to do will help you choose the colour. Also do not get 9.5 rear so small get atleast 11 and depending what you want will help with the offsets. Either poke/flush look
