The paintwork has held up pretty well I reckon - its 2 and a half years old now and I've only waxed it a few times. I did use to wash it using a sponge but soon saw the error of my ways and switched to mitts and the 2 bucket method.

Mine was impressively beaded this morning, although I had started to wonder about getting some wax on it.
The thing that pissed me off, though, was a huge snail-trail that went up the front, "wandered" around the bonnet, then hid in the grill. Little shit. Still, better than cat footprints I suppose. I've been meaning to ask about my wheels - done 8,000 miles now and I'm starting to get stuck-on brake dust "pits". What's the best way of getting them off/keeping them off? I've used auto-glymm wheel wax, but it doesn't seem to last too long. Why-oh-why-oh-why can't someone come up with an alloy wheel that isn't a PITA to keep looking good?

Can someone just clarify this 'two bucket' method when washing?

I use this as well. Easy to apply and gives a sleek and shiny finish. I also have impressive beading.

I've alway's liked Autoglym SRP, I have a load in the garage. Do people still rate it?
I guess it doesn't last as long as a real Wax?
