E91 interior trim removal/swap over-Any tips?

Hi,I've sourced some fresher looking interior trim (and a removal kit) to replace the brushed aluminium that's already fitted.I'll be looking to replace everything, including the Idrive centre section, once I've had the colour changed slightly. Its a direct replacement and I'll be using the existing Idrive controller from my car.
Question is,who on here has done the same and if so,do you have any tips or links that you've used, that have been useful?
I have looked online(you tube etc),but I can't find anything 100% useful (so far) particularly for the centre console removal.
Cheers!

Had mine on and off like a yoyo.
Best way to remove centre console is to remove gear gaitor by pulling up then in the space created get your hands in and pull up.dash trims just pull outward and torx screws to swap over buttons and grille etc.
Door and side trims use a plastic trim tool and prise them off ,they're just held in with studs.
Rear vent just pulls upward ,use trim tool on that too and vents swap over with torx screws again.

If you've not got any, get some cheap trim removal tools to help avoid marking the trims/housings etc. mine were £1.30 (yes really, including postage!!) from eBay

Yes don't use screwdrivers as they'll nick the trims!

Thanks for the advice chaps.I'm having to wait as the centre console has a slight blemish on it ,so this will be re painted or the lot may be redone a different colour.
Anyway,in readiness,I bought a set of removal tools a few days ago.As you say, cheap as chips on Ebay!

Its easy, but what ever you do... Make sure you support where the plastic trim meets the mounting push pin top and bottom. Eg dont just grab one end and expect it to come off by pulling, move down pin by pin.

I did mine without trim tools, but sure they help. Its easy, just go slow and you'll figure it out. NOTHING needs to be forced, so if it doesnt feel right, stop... Look and you should be ok.
