Question Car remapping??? HELP

Has anyone used any of the below companies to remap their car? or can recommend any companies. Most people seem to use Simon at emaps but charging £335 seems a little steep when the below companies are charging £200 for the same thingconfused:confused

http://www.remapscience.co.uk/how_to_contact_us.html

http://www.ecutechtune.co.uk/contact.php

http://www.map-tech.co.uk/default.html

Eventually want to remap my car when have the funds and don't want to pay silly prices either which some places seem to charge for the same thing it seems or is it??

Thanks for any advice

There are dozens of companies offering remaps, but one man's remap is different to anothers,in terms of power increase in both torque and BHP,and more importantly, reputation.
So no,one companies remap is not the same as anothers

I've not looked at any of your posted links based purely on not having heard of the companies, yes, you could say I might be passing up a really good bargain and the companies may well be very good.

Personally I'd pay the extra £100 ish for Simon @Emaps to map my car,his reputation and reliably claimed power increases are worth every extra penny.

Why not have a word with Simon and find out if he's running any group maps in your area, and join in,there's always plenty of threads running over here:

You should go for the JB4 as its the best mix of features at the price point. Comes with a 14 day full money back trial.

For £399 the JB4, USB Cable and Dual Cone Intake combo deal will set you up for 340-350 whp and a ton of features like guage hi-jacking to show boost and timing in the dash. Code reading deleting, Downpipe fix and in dash shift lights to name a few...

Have to say this would be my suggestion - having run this unit for a couple of years (JB3 predecessor, now JB4).

And with the added bounus of being able to recoup a couple hundred back on it when you sell it on.
Ongoing development, free updates coming out monthly, its a hard one to beat!

I don't mean to hijack the post but when it comes to a remap of a 2007 e92 320d 177bhp what is a safe amount to do before it starts to blow the turbo or has any bad affects on the car

Thanks

That turbo is probably toast anyhow.
You may as well take it up to 200 - start the timebomb timer

Theres a limit of the injectors/turbo/ rail pressure of course anyhow.
The rest of the car seems to cope just fine.

Theres allways Evolve. You can also remap your car remotely with their system so you don't have to take it there.

As 'off shelf' or 'email' maps are just a genric and very conservative rehash, banded about my several 'resellers', you may as well buy the cheapest.

If its 177 it wont be toast. There aren't any reported issues with the garret turbos afaik?

I would suggest Jason at Bw Chiptune btw! Great guy and really knows his stuff. The only independent tuner I would recommend over simon..
