Best Fmic

Hey all i am on the market for a new intercooler for my 2010 e92 and i have narrowed my selections down (i think) to either an evolution racewerks one or a helix one. Is there anyone that has had both of these and can tell me if one is better then the other? Im also open to other suggestions if you think a different manufacturer would be a better choice but from everything i have read so far it seems like these 2 are the best. Any help would be appreciated!

Another vote for Helix. I considered both of those, and they are both good products but in the end I decided to go with the Helix as my next mod. The customer service at Helix also can't be beat -- I've ordered from them a few times and they'll definitely be getting more of my business.

There are lots of threads with reviews on both of these.

Another vote for Helix. Those guys run a great business and the prevailing opinion is that their IC is the best. You should consider getting the Helix intake along with it.

Will the HELIX handle the 28 pounds that an M57 pumps out?

A straight pipe with no intercooler at all works the best.

im still up in the air about rather to get the helix or the ER intercooler. Those 2 still seem to be the best. Wondering if anyone knows where i could get the best prices on these and how they compare price wise to one another?

This is easy to answer. Everyone will answer as follows...

The best intercooler is "fill in the blank with the intercooler currently on my car".

Indeed.....same goes for tune, dp's, exhaust, well...just about every mod.

Find a FMIC that suites your needs (power level, size, ease of un/install, price, color, chargepipe combo, etc). Popular choices around here are Helix, ETS, AMS, and ER.

If you are ever around Philly you could stop in and talk to Eric at Helix, or give him a call and set up some time. Ever been to Manayunk? It is right off of Rt. 76- very easy to get to. Eric's a straight shooter and as you know, his products are very well received and reviewed here and elsewhere.

I went with Helix based on some of the research and views posted on the forum. ETS is another great choice.

I have the HELIX FMIC. So my vote if for HELIX. Im also lucky enough to live in the philly area and have them work on my car. They are great guys, and like mentioned above great customer service along with great prices and people.
