E92 335i advice on parts.
Hi All.
I would post under general or one of the other sub forums, but this one seems to be the sub forum with the most knowledge. Took my 09 E92 335i to Le Man's, France in August last year for it's first trackday. Had a great two days and felt the car in standard form handled it's self well. But.... always a but when your a car guy, it had some down falls. So i'm after some handling mods. So I have roughly $4k to play with for upgrades. $1800 of that has been earmarked for the Quaiffe LSD. Looked at wavetrac but the UK dealer wants close to $3k to fit the LSD in my pumpkin, so they can shove that. I've got MSport suspension on the car and to be fair i'm happy with that currently. Fitted yokohama AD08R tyres and these have been fantastic. Discs/pads/braided brake lines have been bought and ready to be fitted. So on to you guys, what else? Solid rear sub frame bushes? Diff lock down? What i'm looking for is to sharpen up the handling. Cooling i'm working on, as i've got the factory oil cooler and looking at adding a second oil cooler the other side. I've prob forgotten something, but will update this as I remember. So if you could recommend parts and the make that would be great. Cheers Tom

I incorrectly said I had discs. I have pads and braided lines, but I have yet to get discs. Any recommendations? Cheers Prev

This should be a sticky lol these are all relatively easy and cheap mods that should be on everyone's list!

at the very least get the m3 control arm for the front end and stiffer rear subframe bushings. your car will feel like a different car afterward.

At Le Mans I just ran standard seat belt. But that looks like a fantastic option. Thanks for the link.

Thanks for everyone's input. I've placed my order for all the parts.
Got 20days before my next trackday. So hopefully have it all fitted.

Unfortantly not. The island is 24 square miles so space is at a bit of a premium. But I will be taking part in the local sprint event and hill climb. Used to do it in my Mazdaspeed3, but stopped when I bought my E92.
For trackdays (Am I right in thinking they are called circuit days in the US?) I jump on the ferry to France. Group of four of us going this time, 335, s2000, CRX with a 1.8 integra engine and a Fiat 500 Abarth. First day we are heading to Fontenay Le Comte http://www.delta-racing.co.uk/events/fontenay-le-comte/ and then the following day we head to http://www.delta-racing.co.uk/events/val-de-vienne/

I used to hillclimb to with my VW. I can tell you that 355i is not very good at that. Track is better suited. I'm Euro transplant in US and they call the events track days here too. Fontenay Le Comte is faster track I think and has good run off areas. Val de Vienne has nice long straight but in some areas the guard rail is too close so be careful.

Bit like the Nurburgring then. Been there a few time now. No run off and nice strong crash barriers ready to welcome you at a moments notice.
Two of the lads I'm going with have been and mentioned they are fast tracks. Looking forward to them. You done many European tracks?
