Performance Diffuser - Rear Bumper

Hi guys

I was thinking of changing my current rear bumper set-up on my Silver 2012 E90 325i Sports by taking off the stock light grey diffuser and replacing it with a Performance diffuser similar to that in the picture. I might go so far as to get the trim in carbon, subject to price.

I guess my question is that in the picture the diffuser is painted white to match the car bumper - would I paint mine Silver to match the rest and how do you think that would like with the black carbon trim?? I have a feeling it would look dumb or at least wouldn’t stand out?

Appreciate thoughts from anyone who has seen this in real life or just your thoughts after seeing the picturs….

Thanks

Just get it painted in silver and don't bother with the c/f piece - it is pretty pricey.

Would you just get the standard black/grey (not sure what it is) insert then you think?

The alternative is to get an aftermarket performance style diffuser in CF and paint the bits to silver. Should work out to be cheaper.

The diffuser is 1 piece and just certain sections of the diffuser get painted if you want them painted (like the white car in the picture). The carbon insert is purely add-on I think. There are replica diffusers out there but just be wary of fitment.

^ Spot on about the OEM stuff. the CF add-on alone is about $400 up.

Reps are pretty good. Bear in mind you need to do a bit of trimming on the inside (not noticeable) of your bumper to fit the diffuser (just as you would have to with the OEM performance diffuser).

True - the details are more subtle unless you're up close. That said, the 335is still looks killer in black.
