That SLK55 must be running really slow.

They may need a lot more break in.

For a JB2 only car (that traps about 107-108 mph) to pull 4+ car lengths on an SLK55 AMG that traps at 108-110 mph, clearly there is something amiss with that SLK55 AMG. Or that owner doesn't know how to drive an auto.

I agree with HotRod, race him again when he as 5000+ miles on the car.

I think the biggest advantage in a 335i vs SLK55 would NOT be in a roll-on contest! 0-40 they should run side by side, but the roll-on favors the car with the higher HP.

a real 55 engine? Someone with a real 55 engine is also paying alot more and therefore is out of my league imo. I'd say my work is done. The car has 610 miles on it, I'm sure we'd be neck and neck once its broken in. And some cars run slower and others are just factory freaks. I pull about 3-4 cars on same e46 m3s, and just recently i raced my buddy with a completely stock SMG m3 and was only able to pull 1.5 CL to 120mph.
Yah like i said the car isnt broken in so who knows. I did beat him with a passenger in my car though and his last car was an SMG m3, im sure he knows how to drive a tiptronic AMG.

What happens when you come up agianst a guy that just bought a used 03 E55 for way less than your 335i?

You hope he doesn't have a pulley and tune, regardless of which piggyback you have in your 335i.
